Terms, plainly

These terms cover your use of coffeebreak.gg and the Coffee Break studio services it hosts, including the shared sign-in. By using the site you agree to them. Each game also runs on its own domain and may publish its own terms; this document speaks for the hub.

The short version

The games are free to play in your browser. Play them as much as you like, be reasonable, and don’t try to break anything. That’s most of it.

Using the site

You’re welcome to browse the hub and play the games for personal, non-commercial fun. Please don’t scrape the site at abusive volumes, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, use bots to farm puzzles or leaderboards, or try to gain access to anything that isn’t yours. We may block traffic that harms the service or other players.

Accounts

An optional Coffee Break account ties your streaks and stats together across the games. If you create one, keep your sign-in credentials to yourself and give us accurate information. You can stop using it at any time, and creating one is always voluntary. How account data is handled is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Our content

The puzzles, artwork, names, and code behind Coffee Break belong to us or our licensors. You can share screenshots of your solves and results wherever you like. Please don’t republish the puzzles themselves or pass our work off as your own.

No affiliation

Coffee Break is an independent studio. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn, Microsoft, The New York Times, or any other publisher whose games share rules with ours.

The games are provided as-is

We work hard to keep everything fast, correct, and available, but the site and games are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited.

Links to other sites

The game cards link out to separate websites, each on its own domain. Once you leave coffeebreak.gg, these terms no longer apply, so please review the terms of whichever site you visit.

Changes

We may update these terms as the studio grows, most notably when the accounts system expands. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
