This policy explains what information Coffee Break collects on coffeebreak.gg and how we use it. It covers this hub site. Each game runs on its own domain and may publish its own policy; this document speaks for the hub. The Coffee Break: Daily Puzzles app has its own Privacy Policy.

The short version

You can browse coffeebreak.gg and play every game without an account. If you choose to create a free Coffee Break account, we store what it needs to work (your email address, your username, and the puzzles you solve) and nothing we don’t need. We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which games people are interested in. We never sell your data.

Analytics

When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate traffic: things like how many people visit, which pages they view, and which game cards they click. This helps us decide what to build and improve. GA4 may process technical data such as a truncated IP address, device type, and referring page. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, GA4 runs without analytics cookies. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. The site works fully either way.

Accounts

A Coffee Break account is optional and free. It is one sign-in shared by the Coffee Break games that support it, created through the sign-in page on coffeebreak.gg. If you create one, we store:

• Your account details: your email address, the username you choose, and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us.
• Your gameplay: the puzzles you complete while signed in (date, time taken, attempts, and hints used), your streaks, and your stats.
• Your friends, if you add any: friend requests and connections, so you and your friends can see each other’s usernames and results.

Leaderboards and friends see your username, never your email address. Sign-in and account storage are provided by Clerk, gameplay records are stored in MongoDB Atlas, and the sites are hosted on Vercel. These providers process data only to run the service for us.

To improve the sign-in page, we record which step of it a visitor reaches, what they tap, and any error shown, tagged with a random per-visit ID, device type, and country. These records never include your email address or username.

Each game site you play on while signed in also has its own privacy policy, which covers that site’s advertising and analytics. To delete your account and the gameplay tied to it, email us at hello@coffeebreak.gg from the address on your account and we’ll confirm when it’s done.

Links to other sites

The game cards link out to separate websites, each on its own domain. Once you leave coffeebreak.gg, this policy no longer applies, so please review the policy of whichever site you visit.

Children

Coffee Break is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service grows, for example when accounts gain new features. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
